Kwekerij Aris BV was established in 1995. The company was founded by the brothers Arie and Chris van den Heuvel (Aris = Arie and Chris). In 2000 Arie and Chris broke up and Arie continued alone with Kwekerij Aris. Around this period, Arie also started importing new tropical potted plants from the Far East. This turned out to be successful and the rapid expansion of several locations followed. Around 2008 Arie received reinforcement from son Michiel van den Heuvel.
